A Gilmore Girls Fan Fiction. The Certainty Found In Firelight. Chapter 1.

So this one is a little unexpected. I didn’t plan on writing it, it just happened. I’m a huge, I mean HUUUUUUUUUUUGE Gilmore Girls fan. It’s certainly my favourite television show ever and the characters mean more to me than I can articulate. It’s lovely to start writting them and I really hope I do justice to Stars Hollow’s finest! Given that it’s the Gilmore Girls that’s a tall order !

Unlike my other fics this is not  trans story. (I have one of those in the works for the Gilmore Girls so keep an eye out eh !) As far as fan fictiony slashy ships for the show my main ones are, Lorelai/Luke (obviously!) Rory/Jess (obviously!) and Rory/Paris. In cannon I completely see Rory with Jess as endgame. In my own head cannon though I absolutley think that Paris is completely in love with Rory. She is barely out to herself let alone anyone else but I think that there is a lot of evidence to suport this interpritation of the character. I’d love to ask Amy Sherman Palladino and Liza Weil if they planned it that way or if it’s all in my geeky shippy little head ! 

In this fan fic ‘verse however I ask you dear, dear reader to hold out hope for out favourite Yalies and where they may end up!

Author’s Notes: I have been raring to write this story since the episode ended on Thursday night, and I was disappointed to find out there was nowhere I could really post this story yet. Fanfiction.net still has no category for the show (you’d think someone would’ve told them before the 5th), and there’s no way I’m putting it in the miscellaneous category with the gobs of terrible One Direction stories in there, so I’m putting this on my Tumblr first.

I’m just glad to have another great fandom to follow, and thanks to the strong fandom I’ve seen developing around the show already. It’s a well-written show, and although the Twittersphere seems to be against Quinn so far, I actually like her and how Katie Lowes plays her as harried, yet vulnerable. And thanks to Liza Weil for playing yet another awesome character with a vague good/bad thing going on.

This story is just a one-shot so no continuation will be had. But hopefully my dip into this fandom will prove worthy of your reading and reviewing.

Liza Weil & Katie Lowes Scenes in Scandal 102 (by MrSchimpf)

It’s pretty much a given now that when Quinn is on screen, so is Amanda, so I’ve decided to add Katie Lowes to the title of these uploads (if I don’t include Quinn’s scenes you really can’t follow the Amanda Tanner storyline as well). Although there seems to be a ‘why do we need her’ reaction to Quinn on Twitter, I really do like her and her and Amanda have a slow interaction that I find deep as people just walking into the world of Olivia Pope.

As for the show…can it be 9pm next week already? This is why I enjoy Liza’s acting so much; when she’s on full bore she can meet any of the other cast very well, and the apartment scene was truly riveting as Olivia and Amanda bounced off on each other so much. Everything about the show is compelling and tight, from the scripts to the settings, and I’m glad the ratings bumped up from the pilot.
